yeah, assuming we have emunand though....but yeah keep your 3ds in emunand mode and nothing will be downloaded in sysnand.....but if you keep wifi on in sysnand and happen to live near or pass a nintendo zone hotspot it will download a update via that, so just make sure if your in sysnand for any reason to knock wifi off if your out or near a nintendo zone hotspot

there are a few advantages with cia files and a few for .3ds/3dz, basically cia files dont need to be patched for online, and you can extract the saves for things like save editors(although you can also do this with card2 .3ds roms)

but .3ds roms are easier to source, and you can just drop on and play without converting to .cia(if you cant find a pre-made cia file) and they dont need extra time for installing either.......also you dont have to worry about them getting deleted if you access eshop or data management which would be a pain in the arse

.3ds will only play offline(perfectly fine for games with no online features), .3dz needs to be dumped from your own retail card, or have a header injected into it and it will allow you to play online....both can just be dropped onto the red cards SD and played straight away

I did downloaded .3dz, how do i know it works with online?

if it came as a .3dz file its probably already made for online use.....i know a popular site for downloading roms has a whole section of .3dz ready roms that are set up for online play by default....for those you just copy them to the red card and play, and all online features should work fine

how near do you know ? there is one really close by me,on the next street !

basically if it can connect to it it will download the update via it.....kinda annoying as there is one close enough to connect to in my kitchen, so i cant even keep my wifi on in the house....although actually i already have the nag now on my n3ds, so it doesn't really matter for me now

hello question here! what if i were to accidently press yes on a notification update (i cant read japanese) and it starts downloading. lets say it gets to 5%. if i were to hold down the power button, would it force power down the system? and would my 3ds be corrupted because it was only 5% in downloading the newest update? or would i be safe

I'm starting to learn and i got it because it's a big opportunity to help etc. I did learnt english like that, i know the hiragana and katakana and some 5 kanjis like, watashi, inu, hon, neko, ongaku, sakana etc, so to me, it'll help my learning.

And because it was cheaper and it's cooler show that your 3ds is japanese
