Trust me, I know. I can tell by the way they respond, post updates, and the fact that it's a flashcart. The chinese have little regulation on clamping down on this kind of thing.

All I can tell you is that chinese not only dont have regulation on these kind of things, but chinese ppl are working harder to hack Sony and Nintendo than they try on Xbox (Microsoft) or any other firm. Its just natural... again chinese vs japanese... xD

Maybe the suggestion that the downtime is due to a change in design would.

But the notion that the design will change for the next update is actually not a bad one. They had an 'OMEGA' makeover for v2.0. And it's quite likely we'll see a v3.0 this time around.

Yes, i was only referring to the reason for the downtime. This is will be a major update, and since v2.0 had a makeover is not unreasonable to think v3 will have a makeover as well. (I hope something less... red this time)

Can you explain this though? Is it just because of the Japanese invasion in 19(20?) or does it stem deeper? (I am interested in Chinese history and recently wrote a paper on the 1912-49 Chinese revolution)

Also, I think Xbox is much more vulnerable, but most will have to sacrifice online so the majority of users aren't too keen on that. Nintendo is really weak in this sort of thing. They were absolutely destroyed during Wii/DS(i) scene. PS3 was super secure though. Almost impossible to break down until very late in the scene, only for people on much lower FWs.

I think that Gatewey exploit/hack somehow did not even exist, they announced it right after Sky3ds. What would people have bought the remnants of their cards and even made a video clip where to run games on firmware 9.2 (they just changed version number in emunand) all started to grab the cards and wait
support 9.2 from GW."Soon" gateway closed the site and fled with the money.
