oh yeah im keeping my XL as my backup 3DS, but i have 2 standard 3DS's on 4.x tooGood News! If you went with super saver delivery you should have it by the weekend. I'd be tempted to hold onto the 4.x until GW shows their hand.
yeah i was just thinking, i doubt the game decryption tools etc will be working on the new exploit (at least for a good while)....so for rom hacking etc, i guess a 4.x will still be pretty much needed in that regardI've done the same, just to keep a backup.

completely new exploit, im sure gateway will protect it very well, the current rom decryption toold use a alternate launcher.dat to do their magic......im sure rom hacks will work fine on 9.x if they are premade, but to get the xorpads to decrypt im not sure that will be possible for a while on a 9.x consoleWhy?
Why?
Drag and drop onto the root.Where do you put the roms onto the SD card? Just straight onto it, or do they need to be in a folder?
Because the decryption launchers for the SD card and rom XOR Pad generation isn't Gateway software and needs to run outside of Gateway's closed environment. They lock down their stuff big time and haven't come with any tools to enable you to decrypt roms or your SD card (for eShop content).
Unless Gateway incorporates their own solution into it, 9.2 users won't be able to create CIA files (only use CIAs that are already made), decrypt roms to edit, extract DLCs or other eShop content for publication and such. So 4.x still has a lot going for it just because of that alone.
Guys I got a response from Gateway3ds when I asked them if the update is coming in the next couple months and they answered me this.
"Unfortunately, we are not yet able to give a final date that we know we will respect for sure. But we are almost done, the wait won't be long."

What was your issue with play asia? I was about to order a white N3DS from there but have never ordered from there. Anyone who uses them in the US, is there a customs fee or anything once delivered in the states? I have never been charged any fees on imports but usually my imports are only about $50 games I believe.finally got my refund from play-asia, got my N3DS ordered from 365games now

Good, thanks...I am thinking about having my wife or someone to order if for me as a Christmas gift but didnt want there to be any hidden fees lol.No customs fees for US for the console.
oh don't worry it was a mix between worrying about import fee's and that my order was delayed to be shipped on the 16th....i will accept my part of responsibility for not reading up on UK duty fee's before ordering, it was just the wait that kinda killed it for me XD.........the seller i found was UK based so no worries about fee's and postage will probably be a few days max, but they only ship to UK, so for everyone else play-asia is probably the better option, and the US apparently doesn't have the same excessive import fee's as the UK so you shouldn't have any issuesWhat was your issue with play asia? Alright thanks, yeah I had tried to go back a few pages but couldnt find a post. So far they look about the cheapest as far as the US goes. Ebay was about $300 for the regular sized white console (for AUS ones at least) and I stumbled across the play asia one for $219 + $17 shipping so it isnt too bad, especially if this 9.0-9.2 is the only thing that ends up working for a while. I always like the white consoles anyways and this last round of 3DS consoles the US never got the white console, but everywhere else did and I could see them only stocking black or some other colors here in the US, we will see.
