Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

Already been discussed.. Misunderstandings, different timezones.. A few factors.. but ultimately, lack of comprehension.

I got my ambassador New 3DS today, which is awesome.
Like all other New 3DS systems it's pre-loaded with v9.0.0-20E firmware, there's two things I ponder.
Will the supposed Gateway update work on 9.0.0 or does it have to be 9.2.0.
And are there or will there be any retail titles that'll update the system to 9.2.0, rather than 9.3.0, 9.4.0 or later.

I already have my New 3DS XL as my main system, which I prefer to use, so I am reckoning that I'll keep the ambassador system for use with a Gateway card, maybe.

Gateway says they currently have support (unreleased) for 7.x-9.x.

There are no games to update to 9.2, but none is needed.

Ive only looked at this page once today but I saw a post someone quoting garyopa saying theres less than 24 hours left "expected" before the release? Is that still correct?

It will work on 9.0. Do not update. There is no way to get firmware 9.2 now, but it's irrelevant to you anyway.

Gateway says they currently have support (unreleased) for 7.x-9.x.

There are no games to update to 9.2, but none is needed.

I figured this would be the case, awesome news.
Will definitely be keeping my eyes out for Gateway news.

That only happens if the Emunand and sysnand are linked. If you unlink them by either formatting sysnand or formatting the emunand (actual format option in settings), then the presents don't keep appearing and needing to be unwrapped.

I posted in response to someone who said what the issues are for having emunand and sysnand linked. I'm already aware of that lol.

I won't be unlinking because doing so requires unlinking the NNID when formmatting EITHER one. It won't matter which one I format. Doing either requires unlinking NNID first which I've been told will result in my friend code changing. I got too many now to go through that now. So I won't be doing it.

Note that 4.5 users didn't really have to deal with this issue because 4.5 fw didn't have NNID feature yet. So formatting sysnand is risk free for them. Their friendcode will still work on emunand.

However I don't believe that will be the case for the Gateway users like me who will have firmware above 4.5 with the new Gateway update.

Anyway, I'm looking to take my games/files from my N3DS on 9.4 and transfer it to my second N3DS. Assuming EmuNAND support comes sooner than later, can I transfer between the official FW on the 1st console to EmuNAND on the 2nd?

well you can on 4.x consoles....so assuming the 9.2 exploit has/gets emunand at some point, you should be able to yeah

system transfer requires a restart of the console.
I berieve one can't have emunand as the catcher because of that.
