I wonder if the NAND dump would be decrypted. If so, then someone could potentially be able to get some crude homebrew running within hours of release.

I also wonder if they're going to have a Gateway card check before letting you use these NAND and ROM dumping features.

It uses a homebrew, but it does not let usage of third-party homebrew,
or at least it hasn't been shown yet

correct term is AP patch

AP Patch is a kind of Anti-Anti-Piracy,
there are other ways that do not involve patching.
