Hacking Gateway 3DS doesn't work on iQue 3DS and Hong-Kong 3DS

Hello guys ,

Just want to share this video I just found it on the biggest video game chinese forum.

In this video, they are just trying the flashcart on different versions of the 3DS system :

From the left to the right :

1) Hong-Kong 3DS
2) US 3DS
3) JAP 3DS
4) iQue 3DS (CHN)

Here is the conclusion of the test :

The gateway mode doesn't work on Hong-Kong 3DS and iQue 3DS, and will show errors on the screen, so the Gateway flashcart with the rom just won't show up.


What do you think guys?

Guessing this will be fixed with a simple firmware update of the Gateway. They probably didn't have those 3DSes to test/develop on so they weren't able to add support for them.

Are the firmwares of normal 3DSes matching to those of iQues? I mean, do they both have 4.5 fw as the optimal one?

well maybe there character limited is different for the Chinese & Hong Kong 3DS's, hence the error

the 3DS's didnt go into GW Mode hence why the Gateway Didnt load

Atleast we know now, that it just doesn't recognize the flashcart, if the rom on the Red GW card is not the same region as the 3DS

thats because the Region Free update hasnt been released publicly yet

All these four 3DSes are 4.X FW, so I hope the iQue & HK 3DSes will be supported in the future.
In the new video from GATEWAY, we can see that the Kor 3DS is supported.

My old account was banned and they allowed me to make this one but wouldn't unban the original or let me use that name.

All these four 3DSes are 4.X FW, so I hope the iQue & HK 3DSes will be supported in the future.
In the new video from GATEWAY, we can see that the Kor 3DS is supported.

It should be easy to add support.
