NO. The best choice is both. Use Luma3ds AND GW (launch via Gatewaylauncher_loader from the home menu, when you want to use it. This takes no longer (and is actually easier) than what you're doing now to use GW.

There is no "best" way. Use what you prefer, that's all that matters.

SURE, booting a DRM cfw is faster than booting a non DRM cfw... Please, Luma is more efficient and faster with cheats using NTR

I already use a9lh with luma I just wanted them to release something that worked with what we have and didn't require emunand. I should've expected them to release something like this.

However, the route from 9.2 emuNAND to A9LH is pretty safe. The hardest part form most people turns out to read and ask questions if they don't understand something.

ahahah, thx but, I'm pretty sure this will be one of the worse, if not the worst gateway release of all time, effectively, locking their users down to their awful DRM system, and lotsa "help miiii" threads here. But let's see in 48 hours

Safer? You're joking right? The Downgrade method is crap compared to the one from Plailect's guide. Just look at the quote below and compare with the guide we have atm. There's just no comparison.

Okay so nothing new in downgrader this is a really Basic version of @Plailect s guide.


How to setup (O3DS): (WE HAVE IDENTIFIED AN ISSUE WITH 9.x -> 2.x file sets, please use TM to first upgrade to 10.x before attempting to go down to 2.x on O3DS)
This was a known issue already mentioned in guide.

* Boot into GATEWAY 3DS SYSmode (Force GW Menu by holding down L, hold B while pressing A, then accept )
* Bring up the OSD, select GATEWAY Time Machine, select 2.x downgrade
* Boot GW_TIMEMACHINE.3DSX using your favourite homebrew entrypoint
* Launch GATEWAY Time Machine, select 2.x downgrade
Directly downgrading sysnand instead of emunand Plailects guide doesnt do this just incase it fails
if gateways one fails GG no Rei
* !!! DELETE “Nintendo 3DS” folder from console SD card !!!
Remove SD card on boot in plails guide, same result
* Boot your N3DS into 2.x
* Open up web browser and surf to http://go.gateway-3ds.com/
Open web browser run arm11.bin url in guide same thing
* Go to A9LH Installer
Seems familiar
* A9LH will be installed & Sys nand restored via nand.bin

* Go to A9LH Installer any time here after to set up a fresh format of emunand from nand.bin
* Run Format Emunand if nand.bin is lost. ( fresh SD card only needs Launcher.dat to recover )

* Go to A9LH Installer
* Your NAND.BIN will be restored to SysNAND and A9LH will be installed
* Return to A9LH Installer here after to to restore your emunand partition from nand.bin
* Run Format Emunand if nand.bin is lost. ( fresh SD card only needs Launcher.dat to recover )

Okay guys nothing to see here just Gateway stealing Plails Guide, Skipping Steps that were put in there for safety measures for O3DS and also just copying the current tools.

Man I wish I got paid for this

What do we expect from a company that had delays Zipping folders for beta testers.

I suspect that the true delay was them trying to translate Plails guide and copy software without it being so obvious

The biggest issue I have with this process is the fact it installs A9LH in 2.1 sysNAND. This can't go right as you can't even close the lid as n3ds user or you will brick.
