So has anyone succesfully done a system transfer from an old 3DS to the new 3DS (with both systems running EmuNand)? I have successfully updated my New 3DS to the latest system version thanks to EmuNand, so i would like to move my account from my old 3DS to my New 3DS. Instead of doing a system transfer cant i just log into the eShop with my details from my old 3DS and then just redownload my purchases instead of doing the system transfer?

Plenty of people have, there are even youtube tutorials on emunand -> emunand system transfers.

No you can't do that, since your NNID can only be tied to one console at a time, and a system transfer will release that tie and tie it to the new console

Shit after my system transfer the new system keeps coming up with a 028-3220 and tells me to reboot

I had that issue, had to rerun the exploit and format the emunand on the N3DS. again. After that had to set up as new. Then update the emunand again then had to login to Nintendo network for all the eshop stuff to transfer over and had to download everything from the eshop.

I'm going to sit tight and wait until a few other people have tried this because an emunand->emunand system transfer is exactly what I want to do

Has anyone tried to install cias?

I have. BBB, Sunshell and save datafiler all worked fine. I haven't installed any games except Pokemon Shuffle via the eShop, but that works too... I'll be putting Flip Note on here via BBB soon, suppose I can report back but I don't think it will be a problem. For me at least, everything is so far working just as well on my N3DS as it is on my other 2 3DS's (OG and XL).

Edit: Flip Note works fine.

Thanks!

So what actually gets transferred any game that are on the SD card, if so would it make the process quicker if i delete all the games store on the 3ds sd card and then do a system transfer?

Yes it would, but doing so don't forgot, would wipe your saves, so if you care about those, don't delete the games

Regarding setting a different theme for EmuNAND, i booted into EmuNAND and set the theme to the standard Blue theme i then checked in systems to see what my FW version was and it said GW3D 9.0.0-20E i then exited and turned off the N3DS. I then powered on again without loading the exploit via the zelda cart but the theme was still the blue theme, shouldnt it have been the default theme as i didnt boot into EmuNAND?

EDIT: I have also noticed if you boot in to EmuNAND and check your FW version via the system menu and then go back to the home screen and then check the FW version again via the system menu it reverts back to the system FW and not the EmuNAND version anymore. Does this actually deactivate emunand mode or is it just a bug where it reverts back to showing the system FW verison?

This exact same thing happens to me. I changed the time on my EmuNAND in order to tell the difference. That stayed across reboots between SysNAND and EmuNAND. I took the plunge and went into System Settings and updated only when I saw GW3D in the firmware. My SysNAND is still on 9.0.0-20E and EmuNAND is 9.5.x-whatever and is working fine.

I do wonder: Could I use my EmuNAND from my 3DS-XL on my N3DS-XL ? Or would that not work ? I want to run the same EmuNAND on 2 systems at the same time using 2 different SD cards (obviously).

Is there any way I can backup my OoT save and restore it later? I'd like to try this exploit, but I don't want to lose my 100% OoT save.

I think that throgh GatewayMenu you can First Backup your current 100% save and then save it in your computer (save may be inside the SD card of your Old3ds) and then use the save file given by Gateway and when you will want to replay Zeldo just inject the save file backup ;) If you are feared try with a game which you don't care

What ever method your using to put the save on there (e.g. dongle or GW menu) usually has a way to back it up.

I was able to backup the save via the Gateway menu, but I've read that it cannot be restored properly because of the data size. Is that still true, or is there a workaround now?
