Gateway 2.0b1 NAND backup, can it be written back?

    Hello,

    I just did a backup of my 3DS NAND using the Gateway 2.0b1 menu.

    Is it a real raw dump of the chip content?

    I'm wondering if it can be written back by soldering and using the SD interface.

    Engine Room with Cyan, watching him learn.
    That's the whole point of it being there. So you can do this in case you accidentely update.

    It isn't needed for the emunand 6.3 upgrade though.

    Just tested it out myself though to be sure, and it definitely is.

    I know, but I thought it was mainly for emunand. That's why I asked.

    I did compare the files in a HEX compare app they look the same apart from a few areas but that is possibly the changes i have made ie settings changes. Gateway also said in PDF file you can use this backup with a physical nand flasher
