Gamescom 2024 - opening night - announcements roundup
While E3's time has passed, Europe continues on the tradition of eventful physical events. This year's Gamescom is here, taking place in Germany, featuring over 1,000 developers, studios, and more, all showing off their video games planned for future release. We're going to be covering the event, rounding up all the announcements and reveals, while highlighting the biggest trailers of the day.
We kick off the event with Borderlands 4, announced by Gearbox. It'll be out next year, for PC, PS5, and XSX/S.
A trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is shown. It's out this October.
Goat Simulator is getting a remastered release for current generation platforms.
Sniper Elite: Resistance announced, releases next year.
Dying Light: The Beast is an expansion for the game, offering 20 hours of gameplay.
Assassin's Creed Shadows gets a gameplay trailer.
Dragon Ball Z: Sparking is 50 days away from release. Tons of characters from the roster are shown. Pre-orders get to play 3 days earlier.
Create your own dungeons and fight in 4 player co-op in King of Meat. 3D beat em up.
Lynked is the next game. It's an indie title. Action co-op hack and slash. There's crafting and settlement building too. Early access launch is October 22.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is made by the Life is Strange devs, it'll be episodic. First episode is out this October.
No More Room in Hell 2 is coming soon. 8 player co-op.
Arc Raiders is coming 2025.

Peter Molyneux takes the stage. Masters of Albion is his next project. He's been working on it for years. It takes aspects of Dungeon Keeper and Black & White. It's self-funded, and a lot of his former employees from his older games like Fable are involved. It's a sim game. You can possess random people in the town to use them, turning the game into a third person one.
