    Hey guys!

I've rarely played my DS for the last weeks. Most of the time some minutes before going to bed.
Therefore I'm searching games that are overall easy to learn and understand. Still I want them to be addictive so I can enjoy the short times I'm playing. On the other hand these games should not be too complex. Further a possibility to save the game whenever I want, would be perfect!

If you know such games I'd be glad If you helped me finding them!

All of varying genre and difficulty, so read up on a game before buying (or if you're pirating, have fun).

    • Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
    • Nintendogs
    • Plants vs. Zombies
    • Pokémon
    • (Super) Scribblenauts
    • Soma Bringer

Most of them don't have a story [Scribblenauts], or a story that isn't important to play [Pokémon]. Soma Bringer does, but I think it's easy to stop with it and play it again a month or so later.

I'm currently doing PicorosDS which is great for some 5-10 minute sessions.

Most puzzle games, really. But if I had to suggest one, I'd say Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is one that you should look into.

Well most the puzzle games for the system that don't have an adventure tied to it can be easy to do like Tetris, Zookeeper, Bejeweled, Tetris(has many games in it based on the original for variety.) Also weird stuff like those mini-game types like Wario Ware require little effort for some reward easily done in just moments. Some action puzzles can even work like Meteos and Planet Puzzle League.

Away from that, if you already beat it Super Mario Bros on DS works great. Stock it sucks, they have an asinine save method requiring earned coins to buy saves each time which is awful for portability, but when you beat the last level, you can save anywhere and with small Mario levels it's instant satisfaction. Also due to being designed with bite sized mini games and levels Kirby Super Star Ultra is a good choice.

    Peggle DS

PopCap really knows their addictive casual gaming.

Well if the intent is to play the DS before going to bed, then you don't wanna play something that will stress you out and requires focus, concentration and good reflexes......no .

You need something relaxing, that you can play in short bursts and let you save anytime:
So if you didn't play them before, I'd recommend the Phoenix Wright series.
There are 4 or 5 games to choose from, mostly you have to read what's going on on screen and make a few decisions, and you can save anytime a go to sleep !
The perfect games if you ask me, in fact I played all of them and I really miss them sometimes.
Also very good was 999, and the Professor Laytons of course, but those games rely hevily on puzzle solving, so if you are tired after a long day it could be challenging to give it too much tought......[IMG]

+1 to that. Picross DS is a fantastic game, had some DLC IIRC.

careful on that one, it's very easy to ragequit on this title. it will severely punish you for a lot of things, mostly misjudgement and oversight, but sometimes just plain bad luck. but if you get to make your ideal gear (and keep it), it's very rewarding. It can be pick up & play, but i strongly advise against that.
