I'm sorry if this offends you, but I have a right to speak my mind.
Okay, Angry Birds sold millions because it costs 0 Cents/ 1 Dollar, Not only that, its overhyped.
Just because a game sells, doesn't make it amazing, Look at the call of duty series, its the same re-hashed horribleness, and sells like crack off a hookers ass. Does it make call of duty good? Fuck no.
Once again, you talk about money, Just because Ipad/Iphone is the new fad, doesn't mean its going to last, I give 5 years maximum.
People don't really complain about apple because of the price, they complain about the price to quality.
Thnk about this, I spent 800 dollars on a gaming computer, I can play every PC game I want at 60 FPS on max settings, In order to do that, I would have to spend 4,000 on a mac, Whats the point? What does mac have over PC that justifies it?
Adults that spend money on Macs and Iphones over REAL PC's and REAL smartphones are simply sheep, They don't know better, and are simply following the hype train.
Everything you can do on Mac, you can do better, and cheaper and faster on PC.
Hey, don't worry, I love discussion, especially if constructive.
Don't mind the fact that it sells because it's cheap, mind the fact that it has been sold in million of copies. I wouldn't buy a bad game (I do not own Angry Birds, in fact) even for 0.50c. If people buy it, it's because they like it. And you cannot deny that craploads of people actually like Angry Birds.
CoD sells. And people love it. You might not like it, but you're in the minority. There's an entire army of people out there that are ready to swear that CoD is the best game ever. And it's a game that is sold at $50, and people buy it. LOADS of people buy it. As long as is profitable, CoD will keep existing. And sequels will be made.
They told the same thing of the iPhone 1. Look where we are now. The 4S has had the best start yet of every single iPhone released, it has been soldout entirely in mere hours, and demand doesn't look like it's going to cease.
As for quality... oh please, I own an iPhone 4 and it's a product of GREAT quality. I've seen lots of other Android smartphones that my friends own (EVO 3G, Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, and so on), and the iPhone 4 looks like the one build with most quality. The glass feels solid, and the overall design is great.
Macs
are not made for gaming. When people will understand that, we will finally live in a better world.
People who buy Macs do not need an $800 PC. They need a $300 PC. And it'd suit them fine. Instead they pay the extra, because they want Mac OS X, its user experience, its fair shair of problemlessness (and problems), and so on.
I'm a gamer, and I have a gaming rig which costed me over $800. I love it, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy a Macbook. After all I do all my gaming on my PC.
I do not need to install custom themes all day long on my smartphone, that's why I went for an iPhone. I want games, Safari and a few other functions. As long as a product suits your needs, then that's the perfect product for you. Android has literally NO advantages over iOS for me. Actually, since I'm a pretty heavy mobile gamer too, iOS has craploads more games than Android has. So an iPhone is actually better suited for my needs.
So stop judging books from their covers, and start taking things in perspective. Just because you don't like/own an Apple product, it doesn't mean it's a rip-off or that it's a bad choice for other people to buy them.
(no offense meant, huh
