Hacking Games Freezing

Hi All,

Sorry to be a douche bag however I have modded my sis's wii following the softmod guide HBC with USBLoaderGX all up and running no problems!

I have just bought a Wii and ran the same procedure, this time I have done it with some newer software from the softmod guide (HBC has a black background v.nice!)

So I updated to 4.2E with MMM

Installed HBC and BootMii

Bought a GC controller from EBAY as the power,reset buttons didnt work and made a NAND backup

Removed TruchaBug, StubIOS, Installed CIOS and patched the system menu

Installed priiloader and enabled the suggested

Put USBLoaderGX on my SD card, hooked up hard drive to USB port and can see all the games!
I have tried about 3 other USB loaders which all load the games

The 2 most important games Super Mario Galaxy and More both freeze!

I cannot understand why and am not sure what I have done wrong any suggestions/help/advice or any info you need to help me please just ask!

I have tried 3 different external hard drives all with only a WBFS partition.

Please help!

You need to say what other games are freezing.
Get a different rip of Super mario galaxy and use the latest cios (rev17+).

This rip definetly works as It is being used on 2 other consoles!

BootMii could not be installed as an IOS.

How do I get the latest CIOS?

Bootmii can always be installed as IOS.
Try using CFG-USBLOADER.

I should also mention im not connected to the NET
And in frustation I ran the whole modify process again not the update to 4.2 process just the modify part.

All goes as described in the guide.

However with Priiloader

I get a screen with Yellow text that say

ES_identity failed, error 4294966279. ios58 not patched with ES_DIVerfify? using ciso (holding b and then pressing + or - ) will probably solve this. Note you need CIOS for this.
Do you wish to continue?
A = YES B = No Home/Start = Exit

When I hold B and minus or plus it says aborting mission

New priiloader installer (v0.5) does not care about or need patched IOSes or other crap like that.

Borrow SMG legit copy and check its stability.
Broken hardware maybe?

Do You know that lots of cIOS installers requires You to have all GC stuff unplugged?
Just reinstall cIOSes again without controller plugged.

Broken Hardware? I hope not. Wii Sports disc works fine. Unit is almost brand new. 3 weeks old only

Yeh the gc controller was detached straight after I made a nandbackup.
Will try reinstall the cIOS is this the same as IOS?

No.
I'm saying that GC issue might be good cause of problems.
You said that controller was disconnected so we need another idea.

Try using cIOS250 4 SMG in USB Loader GX game settings! I have the retail version and it didn't work on 249 but when I used 250 it worked!! lol
