I have problems with some games freezing on me.
- Silent Hill: Shattered Memories [PAL]
- Guitar Hero: World Tour [PAL]
- Guitar Hero 3 Custom (rock band edition) [NTSC]

All other games work fine, but these freeze all the time.

And I wrote in another thread about just GHWT freezing dispite using several copies of the game, and I got the answer that I should disable the WiiKey.
How do I do that and will it help?

I am using:
- Configurable USB Loader v55a with harddrive.
- Homebrew channel 1.0.6
- PAL Wii, firmware 3.4E.
- WiiKey 1, firmware 1.9s
- IOS249.

This is why modchips fail....waste of money >.<

Try googling "disable wiikey" or something along those lines =P

Also, it wouldn't hurt updating your cIOS38 version. The current revision is 18 with 19 coming soon. Not sure if there are any bugs for 18, so I'm staying on 17 till the new one comes out.

EDIT: rev19 is now out: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=212089

I haven't tried updating cIOS38 (I'm using rev 14 or 15 now). But I will do that once I figure out how to update... (I can't remember how I even installed cIOS38 in the first place, haha. I'm such a newbie..)

On the other hand, I googled "disable wiikey" and found one answer: Using the update disc (I used 1.9s) and when it hits 70% done, plug the Wii out. Then plug the chord back in and reset the Wii, and the WiiKey shold be disabled.
Unfortunatly, it didn't work. Tried it three times, but the burned discs can still be recognized.

I've tried disabling the WiiKey again, but it will not work.

Using the update disc (I used 1.9s) and when it hits 70% done, plug the Wii out. Then plug the chord back in and reset the Wii, and the WiiKey shold be disabled. This is the solution I found when googling "disable WiiKey".
