Is there a way to save my gamecube games to a SD card or Wii system memory?

I gave my memory card away a long time ago Along with my gamecube.. and I really dont have money to buy another. Has anyone come up with anything to use a SD card or such to save game cube games to a SD card or Wii?

I don't think that is possible since when the Wii plays Gamecube games it does not have access to the SD card and/or hard drive.
