With Project Cafe announcements coming soon it appears that the developers are really starting to slow down with the Wii releases. Gamestop's website only has 17 titles in their coming soon list. And only ones I'm interested in is NASCAR 2011 (I want to see how well they did with the Wii and a racing simulation featuring a 43 car grid) and Madden 12. It's kind of sad seeing this come to an end, such a short life span when compared to the 360 and PS3.
I'm personally in a situation where I may not be buying another 'gaming console' for quite some time. I'm planning on switching back to PC. Partially due having less time for video games. And with my limited gaming I will focus towards my favourite genre, racing simulations; which will be amazing on a PC with a 3-screen setup.
I plan to keep my (non-modded) Xbox 360 for due to my extensive list of Xbox Live Arcade and Indie downloaded titles, also for video streaming from PC to my TV. May also keep it for a few sports titles like EA NHL and FIFA, which play best on the 360 (vs Wii or PC).
I'll be keeping my (modded) Wii too. Be nice to have around for party\trivia games, Tiger Woods & Madden (both which I love for the controls on the Wii) and if I want to relive a few Wii classics (No More Heroes 2, Mad World, Red Steel 2, Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, etc).
Just wondering what everyone's outlook for their future in major platform (ie. not portable) video gaming is? Are you also slightly disappointed that the Wii will have only lasted 6 years (2006-2012)? Or are you just looking forward to the next generation once again?
