    Hi all,

Lately I got my GameCube working with the SD Media Launcher for the first time in years (I lost interest in using the SD Media Launcher for homebrew stuff after I got my Wii and eventually got the Homebrew Channel on it through the Smash Stack exploit associated with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I regained that interest after I got GCMM onto the SD card I use with either the Wii or SD Media Launcher and had some success using it on the GameCube instead of the Wii which I originally used the app on), and I was wondering, is there any homebrew which is compatible with the Game Boy Player peripheral? I've had the peripheral attached to the bottom of my GameCube since I received it, and I also have the disc that the Game Boy Player requires for playing Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games, but I'm not sure if there is some kind of homebrew that allows the Game Boy Player to run without the Game Boy Player disc...is there one? I'm curious to ask because I want to see if there is some sort of GameCube homebrew that provides an alternative way for me to backup/restore Game Boy/Game Boy Color/Game Boy Advance saves besides either purchasing a GBx plugin to use with my Retrode2 or purchasing a Mega Memory Card and GB USB Smart Card (I'm not planning to purchase the latter two though; at one point I was, but that was before I purchased my Retrode2)?

    Thanks for the link souler92.

I'm curious to ask, if I put a save file for a game in the Game Boy Player peripheral (e.g. Pokemon Silver, which is what I currently have in the peripheral) onto the SD card, will GBI be able to recognize it and/or put it onto the cartridge? If not, it's no big deal for me.

I have no idea. I think the connection between the Gameboy and Gamecube is fairly limited in what it can do.
Devices like a GBA Action Replay are an option. Mega Memory Card would also work for many GB or GBC games.
