i have a samsung galaxy tab 4 7" that the power button doesnt work. the screen turns on and shows its charging. i kept it in standby mode for months until i finally fell asleep watching youtube and it complety drained the batterie. i said fuck it bought a newer model galaxy tab A 2016 7 inch. well i didnt use it in like 6 months. and now its on a boot loop charge cycle. it wont charge at all it powers up when plugged in tge screen turns on shows the dead battery symbol like it wants to charge then shuts off and then repetes the cycle over and over. i even tried different chargers and cables. let it boot loop all night but still nothing. any help? i remember starting to research a way to boot the tab4 with a pc program debugger via usb BUT the files to the programs were dead links. The tab4 is rooted the tab a is not.

i held the sound button and the home button while inserting the usb. it boots to debug menu that i can then fully boot the system. so i figured it out on a whim. pretty funny. the newer tablets batterie is still fukd tho

i can boot to the dev debug preboot menu on the tabA but just for a sec and then it dies. the bstterie wont accept a new charge left it dead for too long i suppose

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
