If you were to compare G6 Real 2GB with the R4 (lets say we put a japanese 2GB kingston card in the R4), which one would be the best? A.k.a which one should I buy?

    EDIT: And please motivate why

Well if you need something cheap and good then ill say the R4 + EZFlash 3-in-1 then you got everything inclusive: rumble, GBA, and ram.
But if you need the Wii -> connection then you need the G6DSReal or a CycloDSEvolution [IMG]

At the moment, the Wii connection is only for Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Anyways, back to the original topic, I believe the R4 at the moment is the better flash card. With it's new firmware (1.11), download play is perfected and they're finally starting to use an in game cheating system. If you want the most bang for your buck, get an R4.

If you're willing to wait for the G6 Flash team to catch up, that would be a fine choice. As well, internal memory should work for all roms and games. No lag, slowdown or crashes.

CycloDS is probably better than those two, I'd recommend looking into that.

Fuck it, there all the same but R4 is defiantly the cheapest.

Any features lacking in the R4 can easily be added in a new firmware update which, judging by the past workings of the M3 team, is very likely to happen. I trust the Wii connectivity will be fixed in the next update and any other features the M3 team deem desirable will also be added. It is by far the cheapest of all the great flashcarts out there and is getting better with every update.

Most people want them for just games, if so, the R4 does a mighty fine job at it.

If you hate microSD (I did at some stage, and ended up buying a G6R), get an internal memory card.

Well the R4 misses something: Slow Motion [IMG]
    And Wii -> NDS connection.

Next update. Why pay more, when you can wait to get the same features?

This is so true. All the current flash carts are basically the same. Just pick one, and you'll be happy with it.

I like internal memory carts the most though, just because I know I'll never have a problem with the performance of any games. But whatever one you choose, you're going to like.

2 out of 3 people that i know that have R4s have had major issues with the springs where they put in the mini sd card. I'd rather have a g6 real 16g and not have to deal with a mini sd card at all.

That's what convinced me to go the G6.
Some friends have M3's and when I wanted to have a look at them in action, they were ultra paranoid that I shouldn't touch the microSD as it was so hard to get it to settle in the right 'working' position!

This hasn't been a problem for anyone I know, you just pop it in so that it fits and it'll be fine. The micro SD troubles people have been happening does not occur with everyone.

In regards to difficulty with use, putting the microSD in a reader or the G6 in the reader isn't easier or harder either way as long as you are careful.

But a huge problem now is that the R4 is out of stock everywhere (in stock at some places but they sell, without microsSD, at prices ranging from 120$ to 150$). Anyone know when it'äs coming back?

you are completely wrong, R4's dont sell for that much its about $30-$60 and quite alot of shops have then in stock with AND without MicroSD cards.

the R4 'isn't coming back' because it isn't even away.

If you want I will let you know in a couple days which I like better, i just ordered a G6 Real 16Gb(for me) & a R4DS(gift for somebody after I check it out) from RHS yesterday. They just got the R4DS back in stock yesterday as well. My daughter already has a cyclods evolution for her DSL, which is awesome, but I wanted to try these 2 as well.
