Hacking G6 Real 16G crashing on certain games.

My card has always worked perfectly until recently. Though recently a game locked up, and after a switch off and on Sims 2 wouldn't boot, freezing on an intro picture.
Also Yoshi's Island is the same, freezing at the intro movie after you start a new game. It always freezes at exactly the same point.

I've never been up with all the system versions and the like though i've tried the latest system version I can find. What is the latest?

I've also formatted the card using the option when booting up the DS, i've also sourced the games again to rule those out.

So to clarify, i've tried different system versions, different roms, formatting the card, and with the system folder removed just using the mini-loader. all of which give the same results.

Please help i'm pulling my hair out here! any ideas??

Could I ask you how you store your game?
All *.nds files in 1 folder?

I know for example if you do this with the DSTT it can cause games to not boot.
I always recommend this example: Bomberman.nds
x:\games\bomberman\bomberman.nds

(X stands for the SD card drive letter on your PC)

Else you could try backing up the savegame and see if the problem possible lays with your savegame?
(try booting the game without savegame so its forced to write a new one)

If that still doesnt work you could try another SD card if you have a spare one to see if your SD card causes the problem.

And yep all my games are in x:\NDS\*.NDS

And yep I deleted the save files in every instance.

What do you mean by DSTT?

And my G6 Real card is a standalone card + reader, not got an SD Card inside it.

DSTT is another type of flashcart that I own myself.
As I said when I store all games in the same folder it causes to get stuck on loading some roms.

I always recommend this example: Bomberman.nds
x:\games\bomberman\bomberman.nds

Anyway for the firmware version the latest I could find was 4.9

I think my G6 is set for the big G6 in the sky! Good build quality there then!

Anyway moving on, the two big players now seem to be the DSTT and the R4, which of those will do the same job as my G6 did? Anything my G6 could do that these can't?
