Version 4.5 of the G6 U-Disk manager has been released.
Here's what's new:

Same here, what's that 1x/4x thing? My best bet it is some setting that hacks game speed (something similar to gba's turbo modchip)

Anyways I'll update my G6 asap. BTW, thanks for the info.

Here's a more detail list of the Update:

First. Improve the project:
1.Improve (DoFAT) Compatibility of the game;

2.Solve " 0542 -Kokoro wo Yasumeru Otona " Can't use the soft reset;

3.Solve " 0553 - Lego Star Wars II" Can't use 4X mode:

4.Solve " 0563 - Mech Assault Phantom War "Can only use safe mode , now can use 1X mode and soft reset;

5.Solve " 0569 - Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime" Can't use 4X to change and can't use the soft reset;

6.Solve " 0572 - Stormbreaker " Can't use 4X to change and can't use the soft reset;

7.Solve " 0576 - Pokémon Pearl" AND " 0577- Pokémon Diamond " Can only use the safe mode, now can use 1X, 4X and soft reset:

What's 1x/4x?

DoFat = 4x and normal =1x. DoFat makes the games start up faster then normal mode. DoFat is also the default when putting games on the G6 card.

is it just me or do's this make the loader faster? after my passcard splash the games appear straight away whereas before the list would take 2-3 seconds to appear?

I could be wrong, but it looks like the R/W command under DoFat is no longer in the U-Disk 4.5 Manager. I know it was there in the 4.4 version (because I just used it on _Diamond), but now if I want to load up the same rom, that setting no longer shows.

Finally the ExtendMediaPlayer doesn't crash anymore with this update. Nice one G6 Team

The 4.5A loader doesn't work in my G6 lite (for NDS mode at least, GBA mode boots up fine when I take out the Passcard 3). When the Passcard 3 splash screen goes away I only get two white screens. I use a DS lite. When I load back to 4.4 things works like a charm again but I would really want to have 4.5A you know.

What to do... what to do...

Oh and I use the english version G6 lite! I'll pray that someone here has a solution

The sollution is to downgrade to 4.4

It seems like I'm one of the lucky ones that got it running with Passcard 3.

Ahh yes, I just read about it in the G6 section of the forums...

Such a shame.

I wonder if you need a certain magic touch to accomplish it, or that "newer" Passcard 3? Is there really a newer one?

There seem to be 3 different versions. One with the old splash screen, one without and one with the new splash screen.

I happen to have the last one, but that's not the issue as others with this latest version also had these problems. Just plain luck in my case I guess...

Force R/W is still present here.

Yup, R/W is still there in v4.5

Even though it didn't show up for Pok_Diamond, it popped back up as an option for that new 42-in-one classics game.

There is some issues with older passcards and should be fixed in a newer release, also the "Force R/W" is not needed for the the roms before 0577 because it auto detects it, so just use "DoFat"
