Firstly, I haven't used my ds in quite sometime, and I just recently found out about RTG by accident, so I figured no better reason to take my DS out of hiatus than for this.

Well, after beating the first set of stages and mastering them (that gold box thing i dunno what it's called) and mastering the ping-pong stage, I turned my ds off and went to sleep. Now, I Don't know if this game doesn't autosave or something, but when I turned my ds back on and selected the save slot that I had chosen, it responded as if it were a new game. Not good. Does anyone know if this game is compatible with this prehistoric flash card(that was crap to begin with imo), in terms of saving?

Thanks a lot.

Specs :
g6 lite
u-disk manager v5.1
loader v4.8 (I'm not sure if this is outdated, if it is, could someone please provide me a link to the latest version? finding updates is such a pain in the ass)

I think that sleep function does not work correctly, i have a little issue: the game hanged when I put the DS to sleep.

Anyway, if you just shut down and then power on, the save just work flawessly, so no there aren't any problems if you do not put DS to sleep.

well, I can put it to sleep with no problem. In fact, I've been playing this game without turning off the ds, just charging it when necessary and putting it to sleep when i wasn't playing.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
