Hacking G6 Lite Nes Emulation + Cheats?

I've been thinking about playing through a few older rpgs on my NES emulator, but I don't feel like spending most of my time power-leveling in Dragon Warrior + sequels. Is there any way to stack up Game Genie or something with the rom to cheat? I feel like such a douche for asking for help for this, but I simply don't have that kind of time.

I don't even know if this is the right place to ask, but I know someone can help me. Thanks a million.

well you are gonna need to patch the nes rom before you put it on your card. You can use some pocketnes rom builders to do this. Another options is you can use a program that i made a long time ago. If i remember right it has problems on some game genie codes but you can give it a shot. You can find it here

but note this will patch the rom, you should make a backup incase you wish to go back or anything happens. You will also need to search for gamegenie codes obviously. You can probably find them on some website
