Hacking fw3.60 version spoofer

Team Rebug released 3.60 Version Spoofer installer/uninstaller.

Working only on fw3.55.

Spoofing the 3.60 firmware allows the user to connect to the net and to PSN without being notified about a new available Firmware update.[/p]

Pretty impressed that it works like a charm. Running 3.55 kmeaw here, and installed this, which thankfully allows me to get online and go do my LEGAL downloading of demo's and trophy syncing, as that's the primary thing I would miss from being offline with the console.

That being said, I wonder if this does consoleID spoofing. I don't think I need it as I am not obviously cheating in online games or playing any before official release here; but it makes me curious.

no consoleid hiding, use at your own risk. but its works like a charm

So, it would be prudent then to basically stick to manual login, and use Wipe History before loading up a game. fair 'nuff.

Post edited to correct the information :

It prevent the message "please update" when you try to connect to PSN, but then you still need an SSL header rewriter (fuckPSN, charles+PS3DNS or Maradns, etc.) if you want to spoof and hide your ConsoleID.

When i went to uninstall 3.60 Version Spoofer it gave me a banner brick!
I fixed it by starting in service mode and reinstalled 3.55 OFW then reinstalled kmeaw CFW.
I installed OFW 1st just to be safe.
