Nobody knows. Lots of reasons. Can't be done? Slow speeds? Requires extra step of transferring said backup to PC?

That's what I'm seeing. They seem to say anything above 4.1.0 will be inconvenient. Glad I'm still on 4.1.0

i am wondering what exactly would be inconvenient.
and i did not read too much into all of it, but is staying on 3.0 a good thing?

i updated to it using pokken and i wish someone would buy it off from me, would give it even for 30$ if i found anyone wanting it.

Given that bootroms can be updated at the factory, I'd wager they're giving NVIDIA a chance to get everything in order for manufacturers to install a bootrom revision manually after a recall. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a mass recall of the control units of a bunch of automated cars in the near future

Do NOT buy a $3 type C charging cable! You need to be looking at at least $8, otherwise you run the risk of bricking any device it touches after extended use

My phone came with a usb c to usb cable, lucky me. I used to have a Triwing screw driver, but I ended up losing it. So, I bought another one for 1 dollar off ebay. It also comes with another screw driver, which is nifty. Sadly, it's from China, but the hack doesn't release until Summer, so I dun mind the wait.

He's still in jail :( rip Hykem

I was watching a video where apparently nintendo said compatible charge cables need to have a 56k ohm resistor in them... Make of that what you will.
    Cable example https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Anke...ine+USB+C+to+USB+3.0+Cable+(6ft)+with+56k+Ohm
    and the Video I saw..

Problem is not everyone has a pro controller or an official charge cable.. and ninty doesn't sell them separately?

That is correct, and this is the standard for high wattage devices like this. It blows my mind that people blow their Switch up with cheap cables and unofficial docks and then have the audacity to blame NINTENDO for not following a standard

My $25 USB-C cable does have a 56k Ohm resistor. Explain why it's my fault that Nintendo's version 5.0 firmware update bricked my Switch, because I had no problems before that.

The Switch is obviously not following USB-C standards if a wall charger bricks it, while my 4 other USB-C devices work fine
