I've got a Korean Wii that I convered to U.S. region 3.2U

I've got a modchip, Preloader 0.29, HBC, IOS 52,55 for Madworld, the whole bit.

Now...I can play every game out there. 99% from the disk channel.

Should I bother with the upgrade to 4.1 (I've heard 4.2 will kill a converted Korean Wii)? As far as I know the only advantage is using a bigger/faster SD card. I don't think it affects game playing at all, right?

I'm just concerned with playing new games like NSMB. I can now, but I have to use Neogamma. I'd like to be able to load this and future games from the disk channel. Also, a lot of the newer/updated hacks are designed for 4.1+

I've read the stickies, but most of them start from scratch. If I want to upgrade, which step should I begin with?

Thanks.

Sorry for being ignorant.... But what is the advantage to converting a Korean Wii to US? wouldn't it just be easier to obtain a US wii to use in the US?

I'm an expat living in Korea. It's much easier to get Korean Wii, here.
