A lot of stuff like the "5th lens" and all that extra stuff, honestly, are the people who are buying these things even using it for the camera? :/

Whatever, bit of a boring review to be honest. Nice to see you covered everything, but you sort of dragged it on. But I'm still glad that I don't regret getting my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc last month.

Not a bad review. You touched on many features but things got boring later on.

I look forward to your video feature on Siri though, that program is looking to be a pretty kick ass piece of software

Disclaimer: I didn't watch the review yet.

But how can you review a device that only came out like, 3 full days ago? You should at least spend a week with the device...

But I'll watch the review when I get home and edit this post with my thoughs on it.

thanks for the review.
i don't want this to sound unfriendly but that was a slobby job.
maybe some preparation would have been nice, such as making sure if the cam will stay focussed and
writing down the most important facts so you don't keep forgetting stuff.
als the ending was quite distracting. maybe some cutting would have helped ;)
anyways, thx for reviewing the phone.

You should know that the Samsung Galaxy S II Still beats the hell out of the iPhone 4S :)

a little comparison for you:
iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy S II

Oh and 1 more thing:
the iPhone 4S is STILL very easy to break....

check out this YouTube video to see iPhone 4s vs Samsung Galaxy S II Droptest:

one last thing for Haddad:
The Galaxy S 2 has also a dualcore, and it's 1,2Ghz! while the iPhone 4s is only 800Mhz ;)

I know its easy to break but the iPhone 4S looks wayy nicer then the Galaxy S2, The retina dispay makes the iPhone wayyyy better then the S2 and iOS 5 beats Andrioid :)

That is what I think :)

This is a personal taste. I still prefer the Galaxy S2 :)

The Super Amoled Plus screens are the best screens that are produced at the moment, even Pro Apple website Engdaget says that :)

and iOS 5 beats Andrioid :)
First of all, try to learn how you type in Android,
Secondly: I think you didn't saw Android 4.0 that is just announced yesterday...

It will definitely pwn iOS5 in all it's ways :)
That is what I think :)

Sorry, bit this review that you made is just a fail "Apple fanboy" review...

A lot of the iOS 5 features are features that Android already had.
(Already well documented is iOS' Notification Center, which has been present in Android since 1.x)

Having not experienced iOS 5 firsthand yet I can only go by what I've seen of it, though, but I can't really agree with you there given the feature list. Siri is a nice touch, though, and perhaps iMessage too, but other than that...

In terms of looks, I think I still prefer the look of the S II but that's not to say I don't like the look of the iPhone 4/4S. In terms of screen resolution, I would like a larger resolution on the S II, though. That's perhaps its possible weak point.

About iMessage: There are plenty other apps for that, like WhatsApp... and it works for the most smartphones:
Android, Symbian, iOS, Blackberry, and hell even Windows Phone 7 (Mango).
I dont see any benefits why I should use iMessage....

Resolution doesn't matter actually... but if you still want to talk about resolution:
The new Galaxy Nexus phone that is just announced has 1280x720 resolution! :)
Edit: With Super Amoled HD screen!!! woohoo!
Edit 2: Couldn't resist to paste this commercial about the new Galaxy Nexus with some awesome features:

Yeah, I know about alternatives to iMessage for multiple patforms and cross-platform, but I just wanted to point out that it's a nice touch.

And yep, I'm quite liking the specs of the Galaxy Nexus. :P

I'd just like to point out that even though the Galaxy S II has a better or higher clocked CPU, doesnt mean it will run better.

Android 2.x isn't optimized for dual-core chips. Unlike iOS which is. The Galaxy S II feels in speed a bit like the iPhone 4.

But whatever. I just wanted to say that software optimization is a big part of this all. Android is designed to run on a lot of hardware, and in that case, it can get very unoptimized. Which is part of the reason I think Android handsets keep adding such over the top CPUs(not only reason of course).

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be optimized for dual-core CPUs. But I doubt your precious Galaxy S II will get updated (Don't quote me on that)

I think it will, along with several Gingerbread devices.
To be certain you'll have to wait and see.

(Too late)

Agreed, iOS5 use's the dual-core chp perfectly. And software is a perfect match for the hardware in the iPhone 4S, the S2's hardware/software dont blend in as well as the iPhone 4s :)

WTF are you talking about?
You do realize that there is NO software at the moment (maybe 1 or 2 now) that takes advantages of the dualcore from the iPhone 4S.

So again, this is just a stupid fanboy reaction.

this review is pretty fail because of the fanboyism and the utterly unprepared unedited video...

to GBATEMP:
the Galaxy Nexus with it's (yet again innovative) awesome new features. deserves a review aswell when it's released!

Seriously, what does the iPhone 4s have?
Siri? sorry but we already had Cleverbot!
Dualcore? there are already plenty other devies with dualcore..
Stolen dropdown menu? ..........
Fake multitasking?!

What is next? Stealing the idea of the Widgets?

Wake up and understand that (in many countries) you pay a high 2 year contract for a device t5hat s NOT WORTH it.....

Bunch of sheeps...

edit: Want some real multitasking?
check out the real Open source devices Nokia N900 or the new (also real open source) Nokia N9 with some awesome multitasking!
Nokia N9, now THAT is smooth!
