Full NAND Restore with Backups? Decaffeinator doesn't work vWii

The issue I have right now is really vWii related. If I try to open it it goes to black screen then back to the Wii U menu. I've tried decaffeinator light mode and aggressive mode. Neither work. Yes, I have ftp off, so that is not the issue.

When trying light mode:
Blacklist hit dev:title/00000001/00000002/data/settins.txt
digest.bin written
Cannot open mlc:/sys/update

And this is after using the regenerate settings.txt option

Light mode or aggressive, I always go to the Wii U system settings, but when I go to update, it just says system is up to date. I already remove Aroma autoboot, added the updates folder back, and made sure DNS is set to auto obtain like in the unblocked section of the guide, so no idea what else is blocking things.

you have ISFShax installed or not?
You can check by FTP if the folder is there or not, and make sure its permission is correct.

I can't get into the Wii U menu anymore so I can't load ftp and check.
