Ok, ftpii 0.18 freezes every time I insert a disk and though it's supposed to have nand support, I can't find that anywhere. Anyone else experiencing the same?

i havent tried this version yet. i know that 16 had problems too, but 17 was more stable. so, if the disc can be mounted by ftpii. then couldnt i put in a game with an update (say 3.2) and take the wad from the game?

hmmm, try /isfs to see your filesystem... /nand is for mounted nand image i think. though /isfs doesn't quite display everything on the nand...

well but, i can't dump any game, it says "Mounting Wii Disc image .... failed / Mounting Wii Disc filesystem ..... Failed / mounting ISO 9660 filesystem ..... failed".

and if a game is inserted when i launch ftpii, it makes me some errors too

while the latest release (0.0.16 -> 0,0,18) might work for some people, but 0.0.15 works for all people.

So, if you just want to transfer files to and fro your pc, 0.0.15 is the best.

When dumping then nand the wii gets an error after transferring 16 mb of the nand

EDIT: Happens in yawnd too, suddenly I get an error and guess what it? The image reaches 16 mb before I get the error.

sorry for the noob question but what is ftpii?

it is mainly for writing to the filesystem / flash areas of the wii or can it be used to install things instead of having to use a memory card?

The 2 main issues I have had are:

1) Wii discs do not mount successfully (which is odd, as this freak ISO9660/WOD disc I had made did)

2) NAND Image files do not download completely. From what I've read there's random points at which it stops. Mine seems to go pretty far (~250MB) before stopping.

Same happening to me with my pal wii... did you install tona's shop update fix?
On my clean 3.2 ntsc wii it's perfectly fine though... the only difference between the two wiis is I installed the wii shop update fix to the pal one...

hmm and someone should test if the culprit is wiiconnect24... try using the nand dump disabling the wiiconnect24

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
