hi guys. nice to meet you all btw.
well how do i start this...
my cousins came to spend some time with us. and apparently somehow Wiiflow stopped working
it wont even go to the "please wait screen"
so i decided to go to my wad manager which is version 1.4. well, it simply wont load past the cIOS 249 selection. it just freezes.
i installed the newer one 1.7 also wont ho thru the and selection screen (or something like that)
tried other stuff like, ciosxr19 installer. wont work.
i'm kinda frustated. i'm not very good at hacking my wii. i don't even know how i got the wiiflow working on the first time lol
smile.gif

but anyway.
other info that might help.
i'm on firmware 4.2U
and i got homebrew channel and working fine. just the apps are freezing.
so if u guys tell me to install some wad that it might help, i cant. wad manager is not working and i have no idea why.
something else i did was changed the time and date. i just remembered after everything stopped working that i couldn't change the date. something related with the trucha bug. but maybe i'm just crazy and it has nothing to do with it. i already got back at like 2007 and still cant get it to work.
besides that i really don't know what might've happened

so... i was thinking. is there anyway i can get my wii "virginized" at 4.2 so i can do everything again? or is there a better idea?

if you took the time to read all this thank you very much!!!!!!! and if u can help i'll thank even more.

It appears like someone ran a system update. You need to delete the stub IOS249 (use AnyTitle Deleter for that). After that, you can run the cIOS installer while selecting IOS250.

Actually before you go blindly installing all manner of ©IOSes grab a program called syscheck and run it via your Homebrew Channel if possible - get the output and detail all the IOSes you have, in your next post - that way we can specifically guide you as to what is missing and how to install - especially as you say you cant install wads right now.

OK, the trucha bug in IOS36 is still enabled so thats good, however 222, 223 and 249 are stubbed. I believe they can be re-installed using an application like NUS Auto Downloader or DOP-Mii.

I second the use of that guide, based on what I read in that report though you already are at system menu 4.2U already, and you have a patched IOS36, start half way down the guide with
QUOTE said:
When back on the main menu, go down to select Remove stubbed IOSs and press A.
Press A to choose remove stub IOS 222, 223, 249, 250, 254.
Press any button to return to the main menu.
What stubs you remove / replace though is up to you, if you only intend to do homebrew, USB loading, or booting backups, you only should delete/replace 249/250. (To each his own I know).

I just wanna tell u guys that you are the SH*T
omg. i worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my cousins are extremely happy. i cant even tell how happy i am too
smile.gif

i just have one last question
i kinda followed the guide and once i got to the priiloader i did got it installed. but how do i open it? when i turn my wii on. it goes to the the other screen where i have to press reset to turn it on. where's priiloader. i liked that hacking part where u can get the health screen passed and stuff. so i was thinking. is there a folder i have to delete from the SD so it wont go to that screen and priiloader will take on?

and one more last thing. is there a way i can back up my wii so if it messes up again i can get it "rolled back"?

again THANK YOU GUYS VERY MUCH.
