Hacking friends Bootmii not working it shows a black screen and dvd light flashes

alright so my friend is trying to dump the wii NAND with bootmii but when he opens homebrew and clicks "launch bootmii" the screen goes black and the dvd light flashes blue. I read somewhere that that means some files are missing but my friend told me that he reinstalled bootmii and it still didint work. any help?

Make sure you have a bootmii folder on the SD card, there should be an armboot.bin file in there too

You can also try editing the bootmii.ini file, it could be a video mode issue

if he has priiloader installed he can try to boot into boot mii by pressing power + reset when the console is turned off, see if that makes any difference.
