Hacking Friend from Japan manged to find me an NDSL

She managed to find me an enamel navy in a city next to Kumamoto and hopefully it is a made in Japan unit. She sent these pictures today

My buddy and I have done tons of research and I have the following items waiting for the DSL
1. Hori blue hard pouch
2. Hori clear crystal case
3. bestskinsever skin
4. Martin Fields screen protector and hori (Martin Fields are going to take a while to get to me)
5. R4DS
6. Kingston Japanese branded 1 gig x 2

I can't wait and does anyone know the cheapest most reliable/fastest shipping method/carrier from Japan to US?

I am going to confess my undying love, affection, and gratitude for this girl because she went through the trouble of finding a sold out item (similar to the Wii situation x 10 since dsl launch day) and getting it to me in 2.5 - 3 days from Japan to my door. I installed a best skins ever and hori clear case ASAP. It went from the packaging into the protective measures the second I got it. I should have taken pictures without any of the protective stuff on but I wanted protection from the first minute. I think I went a little overboard with the bestskinsever full body skin, hori clear case, decagirl Dpad/button skin and hori hard pouch, but nothing bad is happening to this baby. If you notice the bestskinsever and the hori clear case are a tight fit and the hori clear case and the DSL press together at some points (kinda like pressing your face against a window) and it leaves an impression, but I'll trade it for the added protection. Here are the pics of my new DSL and some shots of my buddies onyx with his Hori gear. He too is a Hori slut.

If you notice the bestskinsever and the hori clear case are a tight fit and the hori clear case and the DSL press together at some points (kinda like pressing your face against a window) and it leaves an impression, but I'll trade it for the added protection. Nevertheless this blue has almost shade changing characteristics which is pretty cool. Under low light it is almost back and under bright light it is a very vibrant metallic navy.

3. Open with my Hori hard pouch. I suggest EVERYONE to get this pouch. It is awesome. The DSL fits perfectly, the shell is stiff, and has a divided compartment and extra storage. The craftsmanship is excellent and materials are quality stuff.

4. I wanted to protect the D bad and buttons area just in case some of my little cousins get a hold of it and I thought it would add a bit of contrast to the DSL and a little customization. I'm also a car buff and like the look of carbon fiber.

5. Hori sluts. I am glad we did tons of research because I am very happy with our purchases.

Yup, Hori is a company that creates lots of great accessories. Congrats on the DS, wish they'd sell more colors in the states.

I have some cleaning cloths from the sunglasses and eyeglasses that I have. I believe they are the same material but if it comes with the screen protectors that will be an added plus. I plan to put the skin and crystal case asap so I won't have to worry about fingerprints, but good looking out.

Thank you! I really wanted to the enamel blue one after I saw some clear pictures of it. I would have waited for the gloss silver but this dark blue really grew on me.

My understanding is that Hori is a official licensed Nintendo accessory company that is based in Japan. I hardly see any US Hori goods besides a screen protector. The enamel navy is dark enough so it looks black but not quite that dark. I can't wait till i have it in my hands and I take better pics. I think I have become a Hori wh*re.

Yeah, Hori makes some great accessories.

Very nice. I thought the enamel navy was the best thing ever until i saw the silver one. I am deciding whether to get a white, or silver of play-asia, but i'm glad you like your soon to be emanel DS.

Hori also makes these really nice sticker things that go over the top of the ds, over the battery cover and opposite on the other side. I'd so glad I got them for my Black one. They are designed to stop finger prints. Might want to ask your buddy to send a set as well when she sends your ds.

That's just the case on its own, it's made our of rubber/plastic and it's flexible so of course it won't break.

Enamel Navy DS Lites are the best. I had mine for 2 months and it broke...Shipping to be repaired in Japan? $125 dollars!
