    i deleted some files on my external hardware before that i showed me 2.2 GB when i deleted a movie there was stil 2.2 GB :S
    is there maybe a program to delete free space that work with linux ubuntu 11.4?

    its hidden by default

    beeld > geef verborgen bestanded weer

    anyway, .trash is where the recycle bin's files get stored

    Yes, that works, but emptying the recycle bin does the exact same thing (delete the contents of .trash) and is easier.
