    Alrighty here we go guys.
I just got a hold of my father's PSP 2000.
I know it's 200 because of the slim design and the fat ring on the back compared to the 3000's thin ring.

Okay he claims it's hacked and I believe it is. But I mean this was at least 2-3 years ago.
He has a SNES emulator in the memory card and two other programs I have no idea what they are... they seem hack related.

    nothing else on here.

I want to know what it's hacked with, if there's anything new to do to it since then, and basically what not to do with it in order to NOT brick it.
How do I find all of this out?

Probably should add its 5.03 lol. That seems important.

Press Select or go to System Settings-->System Information and tell us what you see.

You should run a program called PSPident to find out if it's a Pandora-able model. If it's model TA88v3 then it is not and it will be brickable.

    Not your mac address, lol!

Hmm okay I downloaded that utility but now I have a problem.
When I try and run it (and the emulators on there as well) I get a "Cannot run the program. File is corrupted.". It was like that before, I forgot to mention it...

Should I backup and do a format?
BTW I'm plugging the PSP directly to the computer via the USB port.

First of all thanks to the wonderful help of Snailface and Rydian my PSP is now
hacked on Version 6.20! [IMG] Thanks guys so much! And everyone else who helped me!

    Now one last thing:
As it was discovered, the PSP had ChickHEN as a temporary hack before...
I was wondering where the ChickHEN files might be stored to delete them and overall what can
    I delete from the memory.
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    Note: Everything is backed up.

EGGHUNT and H in the root, and some of the images in PICTURE (not sure which, I think it's the TGA or other "odd-format" ones and any that look like an egg or that symbol from Ghost In The Shell).

You never really need PSPIdent though...if you're able to run a PRO firmware of any form then that gives you the info you need, reducing the steps/downloads by one.
