Long story short, SD card that was being used in my cracked wii is cleared with no backup

Im kinda tech retarded, and i have no idea how to configure this back to its previous state. How would I advance from here? Do i need to do anything specific before putting homebrew applications back on it? I have absolutely no recollection of what i had done and how i had done it, haha.

on a related note, any suggestions as to what homebrew programs i should pick up?
