Hi, so I ordered a PS Vita from Japan, and was wondering for what the 1 GB is used for.
For save files of the PS Vita games?

- By the way, does anyone know the size of a save file from a completed Vita game? So I can make a rough estimate, incase it is used to save game data.
- For example, God of War Collection or something...

Thanks!

It's an internal memory for whatever you videogame needs: games, saves and pretty much anything else.
As for the saves, it depends... I'm playing Dragon's Crown, I have 10 hours of gameplay and the save is around 2Mb.
Cheers!

I'm fairly certain it's just there so people don't have to buy Sony's ridiculously overpriced memory cards to make it work. On the OLED models you literally couldn't do anything without a memory card but run system apps and update the firmware. With the 1gb internal, you can still update and save gamecard games (or install a game if it will fit).
