A dongle would be necessary. I'm sure the DS could interpret the signal with the right programming and homebrew software, but getting the signal, that's a different story. The dongle needs to be a type of tuner.

DS doesn't have any form of tuner. Headphones could be used as an aerial.

Some homebrew for internet radio would be pretty cool. Wonder if it exists already.

Probably the Nintendo Company will make one because the PsP has one and the Dsi is new and they are still making new applications for it just like they are for the wii.

do you think it already has tools inside of it for that to happen or does someone need to make a dongle via the ac adapter for it to work?

A "dongle" would indeed be required, but not via the ac adapter. All it does is deliver power. And why would the DS already have a FM tuner in it? If it did, do you not think it would be used?

If you Google DS GPS this one has a dongle in the gba slot, so I think it would be possible to have a mini areial in the gba slot and have a slot one solution to interpret those signals?

you can buy radios which fit in slot 2 nicely and dont need a slot 1 card. they are powered by gba slot and have a headphone port and will work while playing a game in slot 1. that seems to be the best solution.

The DS Lite can already play TV through a slot 2 intena device. It was a Japan only release but you can import one.

I wonder what a DSi solution would be.

Most radios have a web stream service don't they? Surely you can make the DSi use those.
I also read somewhere DSi might get TV / Films from the same company that are working with Nintendo for the Wii TV / Films thing.

well the DSi already has an Internet Channel, there's radio websites you could use if Nintendo released an update that supported media playback on the internet channel. but who knows when that will be -___-
