    Hello.

I got a wii for christmas and i'm thinking of course of modding it. The device that interests me the most if the flatmii but before ordering it i have a question.

My girlfriend plays pc alot, so i'm wondering if the flatmii software sucks alot of memory from the pc, I.E. could i run an iso and my girlfriend keep playing WoW without lag?

Also wich store you recommend to buy from? i'm in Canada and the only reseller with the flatmii in stock is gocybershop and it had some mixed reviews.

Thank you for oyur answers in advance [IMG]

as long as you have some ram and a decent cpu, flatmii will run fine. it never sends over 2.5bM/s.
ive got 8GB ram and a quadcore, so i can encode DVDs, play music, download porn, run WiiRD debugger, and use flatmii all at the same time without any trouble. if you try to use it with a 10 year old laptop, i wouldnt recomend it.

if you mean modchip.com it always redirects me to consoleshop.com and i can't find the flatmii anywhere.

If you mean modchip.ca all i can see that has to do flatmii are replacement parts like the ribbon.

do i have the wrong sites? (i'm in canada as well so i'd love to order form a canadian shop)

The only one i found with flatmii in stock is GO CYBER SHOP and they have plenty of bad reviews.

Thanks for your help too : )

If you like the FlatMii, you should check out the WODE Jukebox. It does everything the FlatMii does and more without needing to be connected to your PC to work.

maybe the modders can hook this up to wiiflow, gx and usbloader that shows the cover art of game. Than it will be a great little gadget just like wode.

in the end i decided to go with the flatmii, it's less expensive and all i wanna do is run wii backups, i don't care about homebrew on the wii.

Thank you all for the answers and help in this matter, like always, the gbatemp community is the best.

Happy new year to all of us [IMG]

Edit: Found my answer after searching a bit more.

Damn, modchip.ca returned an e-mail saying they didn't have the flatmii in stock after all. They want to switch it for a drivekey ut I have one concern.

The drivekey is to boot backups from DVDs, and that method locks the drive speed at 3x, will that prevent me from playing any game at all or create lag on some games? I looked around but couldn’t find an answer on the topic
