I have a Dell Dimension 5100 running Windows XP Home Professional and it's very very old.
Recently when I've been turning it on the power button just flashes orange and nothing turns on so I have to turn it on using the reset button.
But now pressing the reset button won't even turn it on and the flashing has become more rapid (about double the speed it normally flashes)

I was just wondering what is the prolbem and is there a way to fix this?

Or should I just get a new computer?

Have you tried calling Dell customer support? Only they can tell you what the flashing orange light means (it'll be a BIOS feature exclusive to Dell).

The fact that it's not turning on may imply a hardware fault (PSU or motherboard, usually the motherboard... although with Dell, you can never tell how reliable the PSU is...).
