Flash Card for Playing GBA and DS Games on DS Lite in 2022 ?

Hello folks,

as the title pretty much gives away I am looking for a flashcard option for playing ds games and gba games on my ds lite.

Just decided to dust my old Ds lite up for playing with my M3 DS Real again after some years... just to see that the M3 Real apparently has died and isnt recognized by the DS Lite anymore.

But since the DS is ancient nowadays I have absolutetly no clue what flashcard one should get or if there even are still any flashcards for it anymore.

Suggestions ?

For playing DS games, just get an Ace3DS+ clone: it can be one of the XXX-in-1 combo carts, one of those red PCB brandless carts, r4isdhc.com.cn carts, or r4isdhc.hk 2020+ carts. They're all the exact same cart, just with a different branding. With them, you'll be able to play most DS games.

The best choice for playing GBA games on your DS would be buying a EZ-Flash Omega or an EverDrive GBA Mini, flashcarts than go in the Slot-2 of the console, only for GBA games.

Now, those GBA flashcarts aren't cheap. So, you can run GBARunner2 on your DS flashcart, though expect low compatibility. You can buy the DS flashcart first, try GBARunner2, and if it doesn't satisfies your needs, buy a GBA flashcart.

Well funny thing is... I had a card from r4isdhc.com flying around and it works on the DS Lite.

So I need a second flashcard that goes in the gba slot for playing gba ? Are any of these cards compatible with every ds flashcard ?

Great, then download this (https://github.com/unresolvedsymbol/GBARunner2-DSL-Enhanced/releases/tag/v20201019-DSL_97447fe) and put the ARM9 build in your flashcart's SD card. Try to run some GBA ROMs with it and check how it goes.

Yeah, GameYob is quite good, I've never had any issues with it though I'm sure there's probably a couple with more obscure games. It's even still the best GB(C) emulator for 3DS overall even though it's running in DS mode. (the DS mode version runs better than the 3DS mode port of it)
