Fixing Animal Crossing New Leaf save files for free

Right! I mainly use Marc Robledo's save editor to see if the save file is actually corrupted or something is just screwed up. If the editor doesn't load it I use different methods I'll explain later

Hmm. Which version of the game are you using, the one with the green icon?

yeah, ive tried the welcome amibo one tho and got the same error of it being out of date

Hello, after the message of corrupted data appeared in animal crossing i pressed start nothing happened, so i pressed select and then it asked me to make a backup of the town! and so i did and it told me exactly where it saved it in vapecord/USAWA/SAVE/"mybackup name". I called it Old Town and i added some screen shots. Hope this helps!

My game stopped working when I changed the date and time because it was incorrect. I’ve used the save editors many times, but this is new

Oh, no, I had used the save editor days before that. The game was fine, but then I had the garden_p translation error after the village started loading.

Hi! I have a really strange problem. I have an EU New3DS XL and for some reason, I have downloaded the USA version of the game, but had the EU version of the HHD. I tried to link my data but the game said that it could not find the save file. Then I realised what was the problem with it, so downloaded the EU version of the ACNL - WA- and did a save from my USA game, then restored it to the EU version, (on the same console) and boom. It worked. But now I want to do the same with my boyfriend's New 2DS XL. and I just can't get it to work. I have tried everything but the game says the the data is corrupted. Can someone help me with it?

I don't know what I did, I should have everything regular (waterfalls, beaches etc), but now when I try to donate to the museum it crashes. I also have the log here.

EDIT: it looks like the problem was the object I was trying to donate to the museum?? With save file editor I put another art in my inventory and donated it, no crash!

I wanted to ask if you could give me a save file, with some things already done? All the buildings, reactions, museum, etc. I will try to change the personal items little by little, but at least I want to start with some advantage, not from zero again!! Damn, I had so many years invested on this game. (I played in the original cartridge, if that helps in any way) My soul hurts.

Try opening the cartdrige's save files via FBI and tell me what do you see.

Hey, sorry to bother you but I have a problem with my acnl game card, could you please help me? Everytime i try to start the game it cuts to a black screen with 'data abort' and a bunch of things written all over the screen. I really don't know what to do, I've had this game since I was 9 and I've had my town for well over 12 years so you can imagine that it is very dear to me... I hacked my 2ds 2 years ago and recently all my games, fbi and everything have disapeared from my ds so I don't know if it has anything to do with it... anyways thank you in avdence and sorry for my english, I'm french :[

Why wouldn't you expect that to have something to do with it!?

Your SD card is probably failing. Connect the SD card to your PC, copy everything off the SD card with Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier, format the card, test the empty card with h2testw, and copy everything back if the test is okay. If the test fails, you can try copying the data to a new card instead.

Completely agree. If your DS/DSi games are still on the home menu, then the sd card is 100% failing.
