It's not pointless for me =) I barely watch DVD's so can't be bothered to get a dedicated DVD player and watching them on my PC's is a bit naff and my laptop just fails at reading discs these days. This will be great when I randomly want to watch one of the few dvd's i have.

Kudos to the programmers but still... everybody has a dvd player already. Although I still think nintendo should actually release one.
