First trailer for live-action 'Uncharted' movie released

After getting postponed earlier this year, the live-action Uncharted movie seems like it's well on its way for its February 2022 premiere. In anticipation of the release, Sony aired the first trailer for the movie today, giving us our first proper look at Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg in the shoes of Sully:

Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the live-action Uncharted movie will premiere exclusively in movie theaters February 18, 2022.

Looks really good ngl, that plane scene is pretty well done. Maybe it doesn't feel like the game with how the characters look and speak pretty differently, but looks decent on its own nonetheless.

I hope they explain why he is able to sustain being shot so much.

There is though, the danger effect in the game is supposed to show how Nathan's luck is running out. Basically he doesn't get shot as he still has his luck, but the moment it runs out is when you die. That's the explanation ND gave, so that's pretty much how it is in movies anyways.

Looks like a fun time and sure does feel like Uncharted but I just hate the casting of Tom Holland as Drake (too young) and Mark Wahlberg as Sully - will just never work. He didn't even grow the iconic moustache ffs!

Now I’m wondering if someone will ’reverse Superman’ the moustache onto him.

Well this is a sort of prequel, and if anything Holland looks too old to be young Nathan Drake we saw in the games :P
Looks like a fun romp, let's see how it does.

Nathan Fillion... they had the actor.. why sony... why....

I don't know what everyone is talking about. Holland looks great as Drake and is an outstanding match for a Drake that's not as young as we've seen in the games, and not as old as we've seen in the games. Google search for a comparison and the results that come up show as much. :)

Boring movie based on boring movie

Not that that even makes sense, but coming from the same person who said about God of War coming to PC, "I don't want this stupid movie on my gaming platform". It's clear that you've not played a single Uncharted game or God of War. Boring comments based on boring blind judgements.

The story is all in the trailer, as always. But the movie looks just like another brain dead summer blockbuster.
It will be another Prince Of Persia.

Not bad, but won't make cinematic history.
