First screens surface from PlatinumGames TMNT game

A while back it leaked that PlatinumGames were working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game. Later, a rating find from the Australian Classification Board added more weight to the rumor.
Now via PureXbox we have a handful of leaked screens from the still unannounced title "Mutants in Manhattan":

i just want a remake of the TMNT video game that was based on the 2003 animated series, game was my childhood, or at least a re-release on steam or something, i used to have it on original xbox, the game was awesome, i think there was a sequel to it but i never played it

those turtles look absolutely retarded! nothing will ever beat konamis versions!
konami didnt design those characters, that game was based on the 2003 cartoon

That looks awesome as hell. Haven't been pumped for much TMNT since I got Turtles in Time/Hyperstone Heist on my 3ds.

My favorite design has always been the 2003 cartoon design (image in spoiler above). I also really like the art in the recent comic, but in my opinion, Platinum didn't do a very good job transitioning that art to 3D. It just looks, I don't know, sloppy? Regardless, I'm sure it'll be a decent, but short hack n' slash that will probably cost more than it's worth initially.

Hm, what's that art style called mud-shaded? I really hope they change that because I love Platinum Games (except Legend of Korra).

The design sux mah bolls. They should made it retro, like they did with Transformers

Other than a few elements from the recent movie (noses? really?) the turtles themselves look incredibly retro, like they jumped right off the pages of the original comics. F the cartoon, this looks great.

That too is my favourite design of the Turtles. I recall there being a remake of TMNT Arcade with this design on NGC/OX/PS2. :)

Graphics were better on the NES version :D
Can't disagree.

TMNT 2012-Ongoing look really childish, unimaginative and the whole design/animation is far inferior to the TMNT's of 2003. :(

no i dont, i didnt realize konami made the old games too, konami also made games based on the 2003 animated series for the original xbox, ps2, and other platforms, those are the games i was talking about, not the NES/Arcade one

Also, is it just me, or does the pose in this screenshot look somewhat... Familiar?

I wonder if they're borrowing animations from their older games now.
I really don't see the resemblance at all...

Anyway, I'm hyped AF. Metal Gear Rising was good, Transformers Devastation is good (so far, haven't beaten it yet). I'm really looking forward to playing this too, since I went through a Turtles phase when the 2003 series came out.

Remember getting hyped for TMNT Out of the Shadows and then it was just an awful experience because of how underwhelming it was.
