These new Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympics screenshots show off four of the sports that will be playable in the 3DS version of the game.

They are 1000m Kayak, Breaststroke, the Race Walk and Judo. Not shown here is the Balance Beam that was playable at a recent Sega event in London.

These are just four of 50 events that will be in the 3DS version of the game. However, these events will be shorter than those in the Wii version. There are also 20 venues.

1000m Kayak - You have to move the Circle pad around in a clockwise direction as quickly as possible to finish first.

Breaststroke - This is all about breathing as you don't actually do any swimming. Instead you have to breathe into the microphone when your swimmer pops his head out of the water. Time it right and you'll win the race, get it wrong and you'll slow down.

Judo - A two-player event. You have to press buttons as they appear in screen in order to take your opponent down.

Race Walk - This is a rhythm action game. Music plays and you have to swipe the stylus across the screen in time with the music to get to the finish line first.

Balance Beam - Not shown here, but this event uses the gyro sensor. You have to move your 3DS left and right to keep your balance on the beam. Occasionally you'll have to move it as instructed on screen in order to pull off a move.[/p]

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Great, I love playing these Mario & Sonic games, although I never actually bought one [IMG]

Graphics look good IMO, I'm not a greedy gfx lover anyways, as long as the game is good. Sounds fine in controls department....but gyro sensor?? Really?? People are gonna hate it (Sweet spot loss etc etc)

Looks better than the DS one. And that's all I can say.

I'm not interested in the game. Found the DS one boring and this one will be more of the same.

Well yeah but left and right also breaks the sweet spot for some, I don't care anyways, I love using gyro in games, will do so in OoT too for the camera and see how it feels.

On the wii, they are good party games for big groups of people. I don't think I'd be too interested in playing solo/over the net

I can't possibly imagine how odd it must feel to play a RACE event in which Sonic the Hedgehog, known for RUNNING, WALKS.

I enjoyed the racing game in the DS Winter version, so I might eventually check this one out. It certainly does look good, though.

Also laughed at the Wario BLOW picture.

It isn't very realistic. I mean okay I can accept a hedgehog riding a horse. But seriously there is not a drop of rain. They definitely didn't film that in England. Cheapskates!
