To me it just seems to be lacking a "signature".

Xbox, PlayStation, Wii etc every case had something about that that stood out and looked distinctive.

But this one just looks like a cheap PC game case with no efforts for originality

Well, if they are saving up on making the case so cheap looking they could very well reduce the offensively high game prices. (Specially for shitty tech demos)

funny that nobody complained about western version of GC box, while he Japanese where small like the disc XD
don't look THAT big, but maybe just to show off the stuff and looks nice on the collection? XD (I'm the one that like to have the box and stuff and can't undertans how people can just trash it :v )

The hand has a knife, it's the icon for violence. The gun actually represents crime, or criminal acts.
