about 4 or 5 titles that I want from that list.

January: No More Heroes? from Ubisoft
Feb. 18: MX vs. ATV Untamed from THQ
February: Yamaha Supercross from DSI Games (First I've heard of this)
March 9: Super Smash Bros.® Brawl from Nintendo
March 25: Okami from Capcom
March: Nitro Bike? from Ubisoft
April: Pro Evolution Soccer from Konami
Spring: Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel from Nintendo
Spring: Major League Baseball® 2K8 from 2K Sports
Spring: Top Spin 3 from 2K Sports
Summer: Deca Sports from Hudson

Those look ok to me. A bit online racing with Nitrobike and MX, Pro Evo, Brawl and Mario Kart online. Top Spin and Baseball too with a bit of luck, a decent sports game.

I'll end up playing a lot of the rest no doubt. Obscure got great reviews didn't it? There's plenty there to keep me entertained. What do you mean where are the good games? What do you want?

Killer 9 or whatever it was called bored the crap out of me, I couldn't understand what was going on so I assume that No More Heroes is going to be similar.

I don't care about Motocross games or the other sport games you mentioned. They will be piss poor with half arsed motion controls tacked on. If I want to play sports (Which I rarely do) I will get them on 360 or PS3 for the online multiplayer.

I've already finished Okami on the PS2.

So what do we have left, SSBB and Mario Kart... I didn't like the SSB games on the older systems so chances are this one isn't going to interest me either.
Mario Kart on the other hand I'm pumped for, hopefully it is more like the recent DS game rather than the GCN game. Hoping it will be a blast on multiplayer.

So therefore 1 game in half a year that looks good to me, hence my other post.

You could be right although the wii is in need of some online shit. There's no way nitro or mx are going to be classics but I was hoping they'd be half playable.

Fighting, racing and sports is the basic staple diet for game consoles though isn't it?

I'm more interested in the home brew and hacking to be honest, I'd love some emulators, especially a mame dvd that just plays with the wiimote.

Don't get me wrong I like racing and sports games (Fighting not so much), it's just that I'd rather play them on my 360 or PS3. They just aren't as well developed on the Wii ATM and I find the Wii controls to be more annoying then adding to my enjoyment.

There are plenty of other game types that they could be making - action, adventure, RPG's, FPS, 3rdPS, platformers, survival horror, strategy, etc...

I'm definitely interested in seeing what homebrew guys can come up with.

It's Killer 7. The gameplay wasn't all that great but the things that made you not understand was the good part. And how can you assume that No More Heroes is the same when they are completely different games(except for cel-shading?)

But I guess not everyone has the same taste in games.

Wow. Very disappointing. I thought people were saying 2008 was when the Wii gets some good games.

2 must have games for me and a few worth trying.

I knew I didn't get the name right....

I'm assuming the game is going to be similar since a lot have people have stated that it is going to be similar.
I gave Killer 7 a huge chance, I played it for around 4 hours, but nope I just didn't get it.

I might give No More Heroes a chance but I'm just saying that it isn't a game that I'm looking forward too.

Not much on there to look forward to.

Smash Bros Brawl of course.
Glad to finally see a release date for Okami. I've been craving to play it again, but have been waiting for the Wii release.
And then Mario Kart Wii.

Everything else is shovelware, stuff that seems overhyped, or stuff that I do want but will get for the 360 instead.

That's a damn sizable list for what's supposed to be the slow half of the gaming year. And my wallet still hurts from the holidays. And I still have a list of 7 or 8 2007 games I would like to pick up eventually (still playing Nights atm).

I'll join all those complaining about this list...there's far too much!!
