    Hey all,

    I've received (one of) my sample(s) of the G6DS real yesterday. Sadly I have little free time on my hands right now (due to circumstances) so my review will have to wait until after the weekend (probably, I do not like to rush my reviews. I want to take enough time to properly review a product), but I have however managed to open the G6DS real and it's PCB-USB reader and have taken some nice shots for you all (as far as I know I'm the first [IMG]).

    You can view them here (warning, the images are quite big, do not attempt to view them, by which I mean not the thumbnails, if you have a slow internet connection);

    Cheers and have fun with these images [IMG],

    Nope, no RAM on there (or at least I can't spot it [IMG]).

    Didn't shaunj66 or Costello post a pic of the PCB a few days ago?

    Edit: It wasn't them. It was yzx571 here.

    Is that really a battery in the top-left corner? Also, can anyone identify if that chip on the far right is RAM?

    The chip on the far-right is Spansion Flash Memory of some sort.

    Why does it have a battery?!

    Yeah, it IS a capacitor. I was also surprised to know it as well.

    See this post: Link

    Aww man, it looks like the FPGA gonna be sticking out behind the sticker [IMG]

    Also, why do you need clips when you have screws?

    Yea, that's not too big of a problem though. As with the clips and screw, although I don't think the screw would be needed but seeing as there is just one screw the clips are really needed.

    Mind telling me what program you use to take the speed test for the express card?
