I think you didn't see my edit a bit back, but the R4i Gold Plus (r4ids.com) has been blocked. Also, according to 3DSbrew this update updates the Nintendo Zone hotspot list and the DSi mode firmware. (Maybe related to flashcart blocking?)

New firmware out 4.4.0-10U

Action Replay 3DS appears to be non functional get an error telling me hold power and restart the system

Seriously nintendo? Good thing i have a dsi xl then, i feel sorry for people who just have a 3ds/xl and have to put up with this crap constantly. Also why is this not front page that there is a new firmware update? I know they don't do anything useful but just for the heads up for flashcart users.

Pong, it's not a patch.
It's just a kernel, which has nothing to do with 4.4.0-10.

well i didnt know
just because it says its a kernel

r4ids.cn team call the firmware updates on theirs kernel

i was not familiar with that card
Pong, ace plus and ace non-plus has nothing to do with r4ids.cn team.

i never said that

was using it as an example that some teams use the word kernel when they mean firmware update

Is it my impression or flashcards are taking more time to update then usual?

I think so too. I am under the impression Nintendo used a different method to block the flashcards this time, cause this update managed to block all known flash cards as far as we know and the TWL_FIRM on the Nintendo 3DS has been updated which corresponds to the DSi firmware on 3DS. Putting this together with the delay in the flashcard updates I'd say something's fishy...

I hope this isn't a total block, something really seems fishy.
There isn't a single flashcard that works on this firmware.
Supercard and R4i Gold usually take less than 24 hours to release a new update.
Let's wait, see and hope it's nothing that big

Nintendo used Update. Its super effective. Critical hit!

Good thing I didn't update my 3DS yet. But I see the update thing on the main menu like three times already telling me to update. Pokemon BW2 is just around the corner so yeah.
