Is there a way of preventing a non-admin user on XP from deleting their browsing history and such on XP?

    heres a tip.
If you want to delete a certain site, just type the first few letters of the site into the adress bar, untill all that you have left in suggestions is that specific site.
Then pres down once and hold delete in.
It'll delete it from your history and cache.

    Its foolproof.

You just ahve to find the file(s) in which the history, etc. is stored. Then edit the file permissions as admin. Put a check on "read" and "write" so the history can be recorded, but don't put a check on "modify" so it can't be deleted.

Lol, I guess I didn't read it properly.
I don't know why you would want to do that anyway...

My lil bro has been on Jamaican porn lately (Yeah Man! [IMG]), I want my father to find out. The problem is that he is not suspecting him hard enough and checks his history about every 3 days, also my bro knows how to delete history. When I was his age, I got caught about 15 times.

You're an evil bastard you know that.

    Try these extensions:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/734 (Tab History)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/934 (Copy All URLS to clipboard)

Also, upgrade to FireFox 3 RC1. I find that the history is slightly more annoying to delete.

So, did my tip do anything for you? It should do what you want...aside from the fact that your intentions are treacherous and silly (It's not your bro's fault that you were thick enough to get caught ;-) ). Is there even a thing called "jamaican porn"?

That's why I say to make them read-write but disable deleting them, with the method described in the link in my post.
I'll stop replying to this thread now ;-)
